Your Travel Checklist - Don't Leave Home Without It!

✈ Flight Booking Confirmation and E-ticket

Ensure that you’ve received confirmation from all the carriers for all the legs of your journey and that you bring your E-ticket(s) and a valid identity document for each passenger (including children and infants) travelling with you, they will be required when checking in for all flights. Please note that failure to produce valid photo proof of identity matching the names on your reservation may result in you being refused check-in without refund.

Please also note that, in some cases, Airlines may ask you to also produce the Credit Card used to pay for the booking when checking in for your flight.

✈ Passport and Visa

Your passport is the number one important thing for flights to other countries. Ensure that your passport is in a safe place and that it will be valid for the whole duration of your trip.

Please note that for flights to other countries you will also require a valid Visa, for the latest available information on visa and passport requirements for your particular itinerary, click here.

✈ Flight Status

Be aware of possible schedule changes (this should be done before each flight) to your itinerary. To verify this information as well as select your preferred seat and meal, enter your surname and booking reference on

Please note that Travelstart cannot assume responsibility for any schedule changes made by the airline that might affect your itinerary.

✈ Baggage

Free baggage allowance varies by airline, routing and class of fare and luggage restrictions sometimes can be confusing. Your allowance is usually specified on your ticket, however, in the days leading up to your trip, ensure you double check the number of pieces and the weight you are allowed to carry on

Please also remember restrictions apply to carry-on liquids, aerosols, gels and creams: these rules are in effect in most of the countries and these items must be 100ml (or less) per container and placed into a transparent bag with 1Litre max capacity.

✈ Health Advice

Consult your Doctor to verify if any vaccinations might be needed, and be mindful that it is the responsibility of passengers to have the correct documents for the entire journey to avoid being denied boarding by the airline on the day of departure.

✈ Check-In At The Airport

We encourage you to check-in at least two hours before departure to avoid missing your flight. For travel to the USA, we encourage you to check-in at least three hours before departure as increased security checks are conducted.

The standard opening times for check-in desks are two hours before departure and we strongly recommend that you check-in early, taking into account delays in getting to the airport, as well as possible delays at the airport.

Most airlines close their check-in desks 40 minutes before scheduled time of departure. Carriers fully reserve the right to refuse boarding to any passengers who do not comply with these check-in deadlines and Travelstart holds no responsibility for passengers arriving late for check in.

✈ Online Check-In

But why queuing at the airport, when you can conveniently check-in from home? Most Carriers offer this option for most of their flights and you may check-in on the Airline’s website as well as on Kindly note that online check-in is usually available up to 24 hours prior departure.

Please ensure that once you complete your online check-in, you will print out your online boarding pass (or have it sent to your inbox or mobile device, if applicable).

✈ Connecting Flights (for bookings with low-cost carriers)

Please be aware that low-cost carriers operate as point to point airlines. You may have to collect your baggage at the end of each flight, even if you are taking a connecting flight with the same low-cost airline: your baggage may not be checked through to your final destination.
